The history of Andhra Pradesh (AP) politics is a tapestry of political evolution, regional aspirations, and socio-economic transformations. Here's a brief overview: Pre-Independence Era : AP was part of the Madras Presidency during British rule. The region witnessed the rise of nationalist movements and leaders like Tanguturi Prakasam, who played crucial roles in the freedom struggle.
